I’ve been a writer in one form or another since I was a child. I was the kid that loved writing book reports and reading constantly.
I began a freelance career in earnest as a contract writer and editor for a traditional and vanity press company. The work included writing book blurbs, press releases and bios.
I’ve worked in marketing, sales, radio, nonprofit and the arts. Writing has been a constant throughout my various roles and professions. Each one allowed me to stretch my creativity and use my skills as a writer on a regular basis.
I penned my own column in 2001 about health and fitness while working in Memphis radio and wrote several human-interest articles for a local newspaper. I then served as real estate editor for a Pulitzer Prize winning newspaper in Charleston, South Carolina, doubling the readership within six months. Living near Manhattan for a few years, my professional writing enabled many visits to its iconic locations, as I wrote for a boutique ad agency and a power broker.
A wanderer at heart, I've lived in plenty of places and spaces. Traveling enriches my personal and professional life and enables me to be a better listener, observer and writer.
My passion is interpreting a client's ideas, raw material and/or thoughts into meaningful, creative prose that expresses individuality--the thing that sets them apart from everyone else.
I’m passionate about transforming client concepts, whether raw materials or ideas, into unique and expressive written content that showcases their individuality. I believe strongly in leaving things better than I find them, and helping others whenever I can.
Words matter; they have weight—I’d love to help you discover yours.
My clients are from everywhere and I have had the incredible opportunity to ghostwrite for some of them. Should you wish to view samples, please contact me.
